Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre
In 2006 Elevation was approach as to whether we would be interested in getting involved with a new project in the Middle East, within four weeks a management team and a team of production riggers had flown out to the Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates.
Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre is the focal point of a £1 billion expansion plan that will see Abu Dhabi as one of the international centre of exhibitions and incentive travel.
Elevation was tasked with delivering the first primary fit rigging service in the Middle East. Also Elevation would manage and deliver all exhibition mark outs. The service had to be delivered to recognized international standards and was summed up in one sentence - it needed to be world class.
Once on site it was obvious that the task was going to be challenging. The new centre had not been completed and the site was very much still a building site.
The exhibition centre had being build to a punishing schedule. Eight months previously the centre was still below ground and in one month's time it had to host its first event the biannual International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan the president of the UAE.
The IDEX exhibition covered a 60000 square metre area 30000 square metres of which were outdoors and required marking out.
All rigging requests were dealt with using Elevation's formulated procedures and processed with our rental management software.
As well as Rigging Management and labour resources Elevation shipped 5000kg of lifting tackle and black wool serge drapes for the UK to the Emirate as part of our task of providing primary rigging services.
Needless to say IDEX was delivered on time on to specification as were a further 40 events in 2007.
Elevation consolidated its reputation for the delivery of world class Rigging Management and support services through...
